Tina Herrera is a seasoned leader of both technology market development and investment management, with over 20 years of experience in public and private sectors. She is currently a partner at Sharper Granite LLC and has held leadership positions at NASA, Cisco Systems, and Juniper Networks.
In her current role, Tina is responsible for helping clients achieve their financial goals by constructing and managing fundamentally sound portfolios, customized around each client’s unique financial situation and values. She develops investment strategies and portfolio models for clients while minimizing costs and taxes. She finds this role particularly fulfilling as it allows her to assist others while utilizing her analysis skills and market knowledge.
Tina serves on fundraising committees for the University of California at Berkeley and on the Women’s Foundation of California Donor Advised Fund for the YWCA of the Mid-Peninsula. She has previously served YWCA as national student president, national board secretary, and vice president. She has represented YWCA USA at conferences in the Philippines, Japan, Mexico, and the UN Earth Summit in Brazil, as well as the World Council in Egypt. Her early involvement as a student at the University YWCA in Berkeley firmly shaped her commitment to racial justice and the empowerment of women.
Tina received two degrees from the University of California at Berkeley – an MBA from the Haas School of Business with a focus in corporate strategy and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. Tina also earned a Master of Science in engineering from UC Davis.
