Rita Ryder

Rita Ryder is a director of member services for YWCA USA, working with YWCAs in the western part of the U.S. She specializes in fundraising and financial management capacity-building for the YWCA national network. Rita was previously CEO of YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish, where she led five capital campaigns totaling over $50 million and successfully completed mergers with three entities. She also later directed the five-state YWCA Northwest Region Council and chaired the Regional Council Directors’ YWCA Financial Vitality Task Force.

Rita serves on the Boards of the Downtown Seattle Association, co-chairs the United Way of King County Public Policy Impact Council, and serves on its Planned Giving Committee. She has also served on the Gates Foundation Sound Families Grant Review Committee. Previously, Rita was a project director and manager in the Washington, D.C. office of Booz Allen Hamilton.

She has a bachelor’s degree from Seattle University and a Master of Social Work from the Catholic University of America.
