Throughout the summer, the YWCA USA will be celebrating our sisters in arms, the women who volunteer for the United States armed forces.
Today, more than 350,000 women are serving in the U.S. military. While serving, they are more likely to face workplace sexual abuse, and less likely to report it. They are more also more likely to face homelessness, unemployment and poverty than their peers in the private sector.
Several lawmakers are currently drafting bills to improve the experience women face both during their service and after. That’s the kind of information we’ll be sharing over the next several weeks, and we invite you to check in regularly to learn more about how you can help.
Women have been serving in the U.S. military, with the support of the YWCA, for more than 100 years. Please join us in giving them the recognition they deserve.
Hello just wanted to give you a quick heads up.
The text in your content seem to be running off the screen in Chrome.
I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with internet
browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know.
The layout look great though! Hope you get the issue solved soon. Many thanks
