YWCA USA Proud Partner of Women’s March

Washington, D.C., January 18, 2017 

YWCA USA is proud to join as a partner of the Women’s March scheduled for Saturday, January 21, 2017. More than 200 representatives from local YWCAs stretching from Washington State to Pennsylvania are joining YWCA USA in Washington, D.C. to stand in solidarity for social justice, racial equity, and women’s rights.

“The Women’s March on Washington is an opportunity for us to unite as a community and express our solidarity and commitment to the protection of the rights of all women,” said YWCA USA CEO, Dara Richardson-Heron, M.D., “YWCAs from across the nation are traveling to Washington, DC to join our voices with others in our commitment to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.”

YWCA USA is also a core partner of Women’s March Day 2: Action and Advocacy Training. Marchers can join this special United States of Women event.
